Baldwin made two sizes of Chickering grands (5'8") and (5'2"), These pianos were made in the USA in the early - mid 90's. Production lasted maybe 3 years. Both had accujust hitch pins (black cylinders inserted vertically into the plate at the rear string termination).

The Chickering grands tended to have a quick attack and short sustain, customers seemed to taken back by the high quality of workmanship. "The build quality was above average". (PianoWorld)



Baldwin put the Chickering name on various Baldwin-built grands for a while. But not for long. These pianos are very sought after as you will discover after playing this piano. Suggested retail duing the build was 18K 5'8" to 12K 5'2"
